helene's 5K fun run
We ran...that's right ran... the whole damn thing! YEAH!
Of all the days, it's raining and cool. The baby was also being uncooperative. It was a rough start. She didn't want the rain cover over the jogger, and it was like running with a wet plastic sail. Occasionally, the cover would fly up and hit me in the face.
Lucky for me, Doni took the jogger after the first mile (now her problem) and didn't give it back...YEAH DONI! Of course, she also smoked our asses! She just shot off with that thing. I didn't even try to keep up. I wasn't going to push myself too hard because I wanted to run the entire way. I wasn't too sure how I would feel when we got to The Big Hill, but I had more than enough energy to complete it. Now I know I can run a little faster (if I don't have to push the sailboat on wheels). Rosmery ran with me after Doni took off. YEAH ROSMERY!
I couldn't have done it without my teammates. Thanks girls! I completed my goal... and I'm not stopping.
I feel good.
