You never know what the day will bring. The big kids are out of it today. I don't if they are worn out from the school year or because both are just getting over being sick. Probably a little of everything.


Last summer we all would attend the 4 hour A Meets to watch the boy swim for less than 30 seconds--the 25 m breaststroke. The girl swam in one A meet last year for the same event because I think everyone was on vacation. This summer BOTH kids swam in 3 events in today's meet! We were so excited. Breaststroke has always been where they excelled. If you told me earlier what the results were going to be for today, I would've never believed you. The boy DQ'ed for breast (WHAT?!?), but came in SECOND for BACK!!! And the girl came in THIRD for breast and THIRD for BUTTERFLY!!! WOO HOO!!!! They totally rocked, and I could not be prouder of them. They worked hard all winter and it's totally paying off. We will miss most of practice this week. So, who knows what next Saturday will bring. They may not even be in the meet, but who cares??? THEY DID GREAT TODAY!!!
